Our campus has been proudly owned by Dave and Donna Stricker since 1994. Their motto is “we will exceed your expectations” and have created positive, life changing memories for thousands of campers over the years.
Realizing the beauty of the property in the “shoulder season”, the Stricker’s share Camp Wah-Nee as a first rate event destination.
Hosting an event on our campus will change any ordinary business meeting, family reunion, team building experience, or social gathering into an extraordinary event.The whole camp is available for rent, including overnight accommodations (some of which rival a comfortable hotel room) for a single day, a weekend or a week, with catering service available. Alternatively, a party can be held for a few hours in the Pavilion, Lodge, Dining Hall, Gym or Theater.
Accommodations
Camp Wah-Nee is expansive and yet all encompassing, with first-class facilities to meet your needs. Our campus is meticulously maintained and completely up-to-date.
Our campus features many indoor spaces that would appeal to groups looking to hold meetings and activities without worrying about the weather. Our saying goes “there’s nothing quite like the outdoors – but no matter what the weather, we’ve got you covered."
For overnight guests, our accommodations are spacious, comfortable and well equipped. We have a variety of options for you to choose from. These include:
Bunk houses
Each sleeps 12 and has their own bathroom/shower facilities.
A two-story Lodge
With 4 to a room, with ability to sleep over 40 people. The Lodge has a central living room, heat, and bathrooms/showers.
Outdoor deck
Great for sunbathing on or family gatherings!
Small cottages
Some come complete with queen beds, private rooms and baths—similar to a comfortable hotel.
Brand New Cabin
With two deluxe private suites that are beautifully appointed and each have small kitchenettes, screened porch and cable television.

The Dining Hall
The Dining Facility is a great gathering spot and easily accommodates a few hundred people for food or fun. Our kitchen is state of the art and meets and exceeds every health facility certification required by the state of Connecticut. Our catering option features truly outstanding food prepared by our resident chef and, if you choose this option, served cheerfully by our well trained wait staff. Our location is ideal for us to purchase farm fresh, locally grown foods, and we love supporting our local farms and businesses!
The Canteen & Campfire
For those late night snackers, how about a Canteen where you can relax, play a little Air Hockey and hang out? Prefer a campfire, no problem! We have a special gathering spot to sit and watch the flickering flames, maybe make a few s’mores and there’s even power if you’d like to plug in a few guitars to have a jam session.
Olympic Size Pool
If the time of year is right and weather permits, there is swimming in the Olympic size pool or at the beautiful sand beach waterfront. Our camp is located on Park Pond and is ideal for canoeing and kayaking. Because the majority of the pond’s shoreline is preserved by the Nature Conservancy, wildlife abounds and there are even regular sightings of majestic bald eagles.
Sporting Courts & Fields
8 tennis courts, 3 beach volleyball courts, complete fitness center and weight room, 3 baseball fields, 3 soccer pitches, 2 roller hockey rinks, and 5 pro basketball courts. There’s even a covered gymnastics pavilion—all updated and beautifully maintained.
Studio on the Lake
Looking for a place to have that special cocktail party—our Art Studio is the answer. Located right on the lake’s edge, the deck affords a beautiful view of the sunset and the Winchester Hills.
Theater
The air-conditioned Theater on site has seating for over 300 people, complete with staging, stage lighting, movie and sound system and great acoustics.
