We have a high staff retention rate that is unique and helps keep our Wah-Nee traditions alive. Our staff members are key to creating the Wah-Nee magic and are the first to display the integrity, kindness, empathy and sportsmanship that are so integral to creating our one of a kind camp family. We go to great lengths to find staff that love working with kids and are nurturing but also are high-energy and spirited.
All counselors are hired by a director, and background and reference checks are an important part of our process. Once hired, every member of our staff participates in an eight-day comprehensive training program prior to our campers’ arrival. This program sets up our staff for success and kick starts the Wah-Nee summer magic. Our staff continues to be trained throughout the summer to ensure an amazing summer for all.
